Viewing User Information

Viewing User Information

To view user information, open the CMDB page and click Users in the left panel. Expand Users to see all of the subgroups belonging to it. Click Users, or on one of its subgroups, to see the users in the table associated with that group. The icons above the panel allow you to add, edit, and delete subgroups. System-defined subgroups cannot be deleted. Some system-defined subgroups, such as FortiSIEM Users, can be edited. For more information on managing device groups, see Working with User Groups.

The headings and numbers at the top of the page, such as above FortiSIEM Users, or a manually created user group name, represent the number of existing FortiSIEM users. Click the heading to see the users/groups associated with the user category.

The table on the right of the page displays a list of all of the users known to FortiSIEM. The table contains columns such as the User Name, Full Name, Organization, FortiSIEM Role, and so on.

On the CMDB page you can do the following:

  • Choose which columns to display by clicking the Columns icon.
  • Create, edit, and delete users by clicking the New, Edit, and Delete buttons.
  • Perform a variety of operations on a selected user by making a selection from the Actions drop-down list. For more information on the operations you can perform, see Performing Operations on Users.
  • Get more information about a user by hovering over a user under the User Name column, clicking , and selecting Details. A sidebar will appear with the following tabs: General, Contact, Member Of, and Access Control. The information returned is described in the following table.

Selection

Description

General Click General to return general information about the user such as the User Name and Last Domain Logon. It also displays information regarding domain password time, their FortiSIEM role, and existing user configuration policies (password reset, idle timeout, user lockout).
Contact Click Contact to view available user contact information, such as email, phone numbers and physical address.
Member Of Click Member Of to see all the groups that the user is a member of.
Access Control

Click Access Control to see what restrictions the user has.
