Certificate Services

Certificate Services

FortiSIEM uses digital certificates to secure the following connections:

  • Graphical user interface

  • Collector to Supervisor / Worker communication

  • FortiSIEM Agent to Collector communication

FortiSIEM ships with internal, self-signed certificates that provide a functional system without requiring additional certificate services. Organizations may however want to deploy their own signed certificates to provide additional security validation and compliance with security policy.

Additionally, MSSPs will benefit from deploying a certificate signed by a commonly trusted public CA to the FortiSIEM user interface to allow tenant organizations to connect via HTTPS without receiving browser certificate trust errors.
