Tasks
The Security Orchestration > Tasks tab lists all automations that require manual input from a user before they can proceed. This ensures that playbooks pause when necessary, allowing you to review information or provide a required value.
Managing Tasks
Each entry in the task list represents a specific instance of an automation awaiting input.
-
Task ID - A unique identifier assigned to the specific task instance.
-
Request - The name of the automation or playbook step that generated the task.
-
Requester - The user who initiated the automation.
-
Date - The date the task was created.
-
Status - The current state of the task, which can be Pending, Complete, or Failed.
-
Action - Click Provide Input to open a dialog box where you enter the required data for the automation to continue.
Filtering the Task List
To quickly find a specific task, use the following filtering options at the top of the page:
-
Search - Search for a task by entering the Task ID or the Request name.
-
Date Range - Filter the list to display tasks created within a specific date range.
-
Status - Select one or more task statuses (Pending, Complete, or Failed) to narrow the list.
