Introduction

This document provides a list of new features, changes, resolved issues, and product integration information for FortiMonitor Agent editions 2023.3.

Panopta Agent EOL notice

The Panopta Linux Agent and the Panopta Windows Agent will continue to work but will no longer be updated until the EOL date of December 31, 2023. After this date, support and security updates will no longer be provided. We recommend upgrading to the FortiMonitor Linux Agent or the FortiMonitor Windows Agent.

Linux Agent editions

If you are using the original Panopta Linux Agent, it will continue to work but will no longer be updated. You may continue to use the Panopta Linux Agent but an upgrade path is available if you want to migrate your configuration to the FortiMonitor Linux Agent.

The FortiMonitor Linux Agent changes the installation method to install more easily on modern operating systems and works exclusively on systems with python 3. In order to ensure that you are no longer using python 2, which is at its end-of-life since 2020, install the FortiMonitor Linux Agent.

Windows Agent editions

Similar to the Panopta Linux Agent, the Panopta Windows Agent will continue to work but will no longer be updated until the specified EOL date. The FortiMonitor Windows Agent also supports auto-update which allows the Agent to periodically check and install new versions for itself. For more information, see Windows Agent Auto-update.
