Retrieving account level entitlements for FortiPAM
Managed FortiPAM devices can retrieve their account level entitlements directly through FortiManager. This feature allows FortiPAM to obtain update packages and validate VM licenses without having to connect to the network.
To use configure FortiPAM entitlement support through FortiManager:
- Configure FortiPAM to use FortiManager central management and update services. For example:

set server-address <FMGIP>

- On FortiManager, you can see the FortiPAM device listed as an unauthorized device.
- If FortiManager is connected to the network, it will connect to the FDS server and download the FortiPAM contracts from FortiGuard.
- If FortiManager is in a closed network, the entitlement file must be manually uploaded to FortiManager for the FortiPAM contracts. See Uploading account entitlement files.
