  1. Log on to the FortiMail admin GUI in either Gateway or Transparent mode.

  2. Go to Profile > LDAP > LDAP and either click New to create a new LDAP profile or edit an existing profile.

  3. Enter a Profile name, enter the Server name/IP, and set Port to 636.

  4. Expand Default Bind Options, and enter the Base DN and Bind DN as appropriate.

  5. Enter the Bind password, and click Create or OK.

  6. Then go to Domain & User > Domain > Domain and either click New to create a new protected domain, or edit an existing entry.
  7. Expand Recipient Address Verification, enable LDAP Server, and apply the LDAP profile you just configured.
  8. Click Create or OK.

You can verify that recipient verification works by sending an email and running diagnostics.
