Getting started in the FortiIsolator GUI
Accessing the FortiIsolator administration portal
- Open a browser and type http://
<management_IP_address>in the address bar.where
<management_IP_address>is the IP address that you configured for the management interface. The default is 192.168.1.99.
- Log in to the FortiIsolator GUI.The default username is admin and there is no default password.
The FortiIsolator Dashboard is displayed.
Configuring time settings
You can configure the time settings on FortiIsolator.
- Navigate to the System Information widget on the Dashboard.
- In the System Time field, select Change.
- Set the Time Zone field to the correct time zone.
- To set the time manually, select Set Time and select the correct time and date options in the drop-down lists.
- To configure an NTP server, select Synchronize with NTP Server and enter the IP address of the NTP server that you want to use.
- Select Apply.
Changing the administrator password
You can change the administrator password for FortiIsolator.
- In the FortiIsolator GUI, click Dashboard.
- Click the arrow next to the username (for example, admin) in the top right-hand side of the Dashboard.
- Click Change Password.
- In the Password field, type the new password.
- In the Confirm Password field, type the new password again.
- Click OK.
Configuring Interface settings
To configure interfaces settings, go to Network > Interfaces.
Configuring DNS settings
To configure system DNS settings, go to Network > System DNS.
Configuring Routing settings
To configure system routing settings, go to Network > System Routing.
Configuring administrator settings
To configure administrator settings, go to System > Administrators.
Configuring the login disclaimer
To configure a login disclaimer, go to System > Login Disclaimer.
