Enable advanced switching features in the GUI
The new toggle button, Advanced Switching Features, allows you to enable the following advanced switching features:

On the WiFi & Switch Controller > FortiSwitch Port Policies page:

LLDP tab
-
QoS tab
-
VLAN policies tab
-
PTP tab
-
-
On the WiFi & Switch Controller > Managed FortiSwitches page:
-
MC-LAG Peer column
-
Config Sync Status column
-
-
On the Diagnostics and Tools pane:
-
Config Sync Status field (under the switch serial number)
-
-
On the WiFi & Switch Controller > FortiSwitch Ports page:
-
PTP column (values are shown only when the FortiSwitch unit supports PTP)
-
PTP Interface Policy column (values are shown only when the FortiSwitch unit supports PTP)

To enable the advanced switching features:
-
Go to System > Feature Visibility.
-
Under Additional Features, enable Advanced Switching Features.
-
Click Apply.
To use the LLDP tab:
-
Go to WiFi & Switch Controller > FortiSwitch Port Policies.

Click the LLDP tab.
-
Under Profiles, create or edit an LLDP profile:
-
Click Create new to create a new LLDP profile and then click OK to save it.

Select the checkbox to the left of an already created LLDP profile name to edit, clone, or delete the profile.

Under Settings, configure the LLDP settings and then click OK to save them.

To use the QoS tab:

Go to WiFi & Switch Controller > FortiSwitch Port Policies.

Click the QoS tab.
-
Under 802.1p maps, click Create new, configure a new 802.1p map, and then click OK.

Under DSCP/IP precedence maps, click Create new, configure a new DSCP/IP precedence map, and then click OK.

Under Egress policies, click Create new, configure a new QoS egress queue policy, and then click OK.

Under QoS policies, click Create new to configure the overall policy that will be applied to the switch ports.

From the Egress queue profile dropdown list, select the QoS egress queue policy you created in step 5.

Enable Trust DSCP/IP precedence and select the DSCP/IP precedence map you created in step 4.

Enable Trust Dot1p and select the 802.1p map you created in step 3.

Go to WiFi & Switch Controller > FortiSwitch Ports, select the checkbox for the port that you want to assign the QoS policy to, click the edit icon (looks like a pencil and paper) in the QoS Policy column, select the QoS policy you created in step 6, and click Apply.

To use the VLAN policies tab:

Go to WiFi & Switch Controller > FortiSwitch Port Policies.

Click the VLAN policies tab.

Click Create new.
-
In the Name field, enter a unique name.

[Optional] In the Description field, enter a description of the VLAN policy.

In the FortiLink dropdown list, select which FortiLink interface this VLAN policy applies to.
-
In the Native VLAN dropdown list, select the default VLAN for untagged incoming frames.
-
In the Allowed VLANs dropdown list, select which VLANs the port can transmit frames to or receive frames from.
-
In the Untagged VLANs dropdown list, select which VLANs the port will transmit frames to without the VLAN tag.
Any VLAN in the untagged VLAN list must also be a member of the allowed VLAN list.

If you want to discard tagged or untagged frames, enable Discard frames and then select Untagged frames or Tagged frames.

Click OK to save the VLAN policy.

To use the PTP tab:

Go to WiFi & Switch Controller > FortiSwitch Port Policies.

Click the PTP tab.
-
Under Profiles, click Create new, configure a new PTP profile, and then click OK.

Configure the PTP settings in the CLI.
By default, PTP is disabled. Enable PTP and select which PTP profile will use these PTP settings. The default profile is automatically selected. If you have multiple PTP profiles, each managed switch can use a different PTP profile.

Under Interface policies, click Create new, configure a new PTP interface policy, and then click OK.

Go to WiFi & Switch Controller > FortiSwitch Ports, select the checkbox for the port that you want to assign the PTP interface policy to, click the edit icon (looks like a pencil and paper) in the PTP Interface Policy column, select the PTP interface policy you created in step 4, and click Apply Changes.
