What's new for FortiOS 7.6.1
This section lists the new hardware accelerations features added to FortiOS 7.6.1
-
On FortiGates with NP6 or NP7 processors, you can enable NPU inter-VDOM links to accelerate traffic between VRF virtual routing domains, see Enabling NP7 inter-VDOM links to accelerate VRF route leaking or Enabling NP6 inter-VDOM links to accelerate VRF route leaking.

FortiOS 7.6.1 includes a software update that allows the FortiGate 2600F and 2601F interfaces 1 to 16 to be configured as 10 GigE, 5GigE, 2.5GigE, or 1 GigE interfaces. There is also a new
auto
option (the default) that automatically adjusts the speed of the interface to match the speed of the connected interface. Previously, interfaces 1 to 16 could only be configured as 10 GigE or 1 GigE interfaces, see FortiGate 2600F and 2601F fast path architecture. -
FortiOS 7.6.1 includes support for FortiGates with NP7Lite processors, see NP7Lite processors and FortiGate NP7Lite architectures.
