With the project foundation ready, complete the following steps to stage each particular site prior to its onboarding:

Create a Model Device, and assign it to the correct Device Blueprint to set its per-device variables. See Create Model Device.
This will automatically assign it to the right Device Group, apply all the necessary Provisioning Templates, the right Policy Package, and so on.

Issue a certificate for the new Model Device (to be used for IPsec authentication). See Issue certificate.

Install the configuration on the Model Device. See Install configuration.

Install the Policy Package on the Model Device. See Install Policy.
Once these steps are successfully completed, the device will be ready for onboarding.
