What's new for FortiOS 7.2.8

This section lists the new hardware accelerations features added to FortiOS 7.2.5.

  • FortiOS 7.2.8 includes support for the FortiGate 6001F, a new FortiGate model that includes a total of ten FPCs, by default three of them are active. To increase throughput you can purchase perpetual or subscription licenses for each of the additional seven FPCs for a total of ten. Also the FortiGate 6001F includes two internal 1 TByte log disks in a RAID-1 configuration. For more information, see FortiGate 6000F series.

  • FortiGate 1800F and 1801F interfaces 37 to 40 (port37 to port40) support operating as 100/40 GigE QSFP28/QSFP+ interfaces, see FortiGate 1800F and 1801F fast path architecture.

  • You can use the following option to enable or disable offloading fragmented IP packets to NP7 processors, see ip-fragment-offload {disable | enable}.

    config system npu

    set ip-fragment-offload {disable | enable}

    end
