    You can configure FortiOS 6.0.17 to send logs to remote syslog servers in Common Event Format (CEF) by using the config log syslogd setting command. For more information, see the Logging and Reporting chapter in the FortiOS Handbook and the FortiOS CLI Reference.

    When CEF is enabled, FortiOS sends logs to syslog servers in CEF. This section describes how FortiOS logs support CEF.

    You can view logs in CEF on remote syslog servers or FortiAnalyzer, but not in the FortiOS GUI.
