Google Cloud SDK

You can deploy FortiGate-VM (bring your own license (BYOL)) by using the Google Cloud SDK on your local PC. This is a method of deploying FortiGate-VM on GCP outside of the marketplace product listing and without creating an instance on the Google Cloud Compute Portal.

This deployment consists of the following steps:

  1. Obtaining the deployment image
  2. Uploading the deployment image to Google Cloud
  3. Creating a FortiGate custom image
  4. Deploying a FortiGate-VM instance
  5. Bootstrapping FortiGate at initial bootup
  6. Confidential computing

Deploying a FortiGate-VM on a T2A instanceprovides information about deploying FortiGate-VM using a GCP T2A instance.
