Setting up the VPC

To set up the VPC:

1. Assuming this is a new environment, the first step is to create the virtual private cloud (VPC). Click Create VPC.

   

2. Name the VPC TP_FortiVPC.

   

3. In this scenario, you need at least three VSwitches: one for the ECS, one for the FortiGate-VM inbound/outbound interface, and one for the FortiGate-VM high availability interface. You can also create a fourth VSwitch for the FortiGate reserved management interface. Create the ECS VSwitch first, as shown.

   

4. Create the VSwitch for the FortiGate-VM inbound/outbound interface, as shown.

   

5. Create the VSwitch for the FortiGate-VM HA interface, as shown.

   

6. (Optional) Create the VSwitch for the FortiGate reserved management interface.

   

   The VPC is now ready.
