SSD failure
FortiGate 6001F, FortiGate 6501F, or FortiGate 6301F HA clusters support SSD (log disk) failure protection. SSD failure protection is disabled by default. You can use the following command to enable SSD failure protection:
config system ha
set ssd-failover enable
end
If SSD failure detection is enabled, if an SSD on the primary FortiGate 6001F, FortiGate 6501F, or FortiGate 6301F fails, an HA failover occurs and the FortiGate 6001F, FortiGate 6501F, or FortiGate 6301F with the most operating SSDs becomes the primary.
If an SSD fails on the secondary FortiGate 6001F, FortiGate 6501F, or FortiGate 6301F, its status in the cluster does not change. However, in future negotiations the FortiGate 6001F, FortiGate 6501F, or FortiGate 6301F with the most SSD failures is less likely to become the primary.
