Enrolling a device to Workspace ONE

To enroll a device to Workspace ONE:
  1. In Workspace ONE, go to Accounts.
  2. Add a new user.
  3. Add a new device for the user:
    1. From the Device Ownership Type dropdown list, select Corporate - Dedicated.
    2. From the Platform dropdown list, select Apple iOS.
    3. For Message Type, select EMAIL.
    4. Save. This sends a device activation email to the user.
  4. Go to User. Select More, then add the user to a User Group.
  5. Go to Assignment Groups. Create a new assignment group and add the user group.
  6. Go to Resources. Add FortiClient (iOS) from the public app store.
  7. When adding an assignment, select the configured group under Assignment Groups.
  8. In Application Configuration, enter key value pairs as the following describes. This enables FortiClient (iOS) to read the MAC address and UDID from the iOS device. FortiClient sends this information to EMS:

    EMS IP address.

    ems_port

    Port that EMS uses for endpoint management. This is 8013 by default.

    mac_address

    Device WLAN MAC address.

    udid

    Device UDID.

    invitation_code

    FortiClient Cloud or on-premise EMS invitation code.

    FortiClient (iOS) 7.2.3 and later versions support this key.

  9. Save the configuration.
