Installing certificates on the client
To configure a Windows client:
- Install the user certificate:
- Double-click the certificate file to launch Certificate Import Wizard.
- For Store Location, select Current User. Click Next.
- The file name should already be accurate for the location and name. Click Next.
- In the Password field, provide the password that you configured in Creating certificates in FortiAuthenticator. Click Next.
- Select Place all certificates in the following store.
- Browse to Personal. Click OK, then Next, and Finish.
- Repeat step 1 to install the CA certificate. For step f, select Trusted Root Certificate Authorities instead of Personal.
To configure a macOS client:
- Install the user certificate:
- Open the certificate file. Keychain Access opens.
- Double-click the certificate.
- Expand Trust, then select Always Trust.
- Repeat step 1 to install the CA certificate.
