Configure a temp external IP for the FortiAnalyzer-VMs

After confirming the FortiAnalyzer-VMs are running, configure a temp external IP to access them from the internet.

In this example, we use a temp external IP to access the deployed FortiAnalyzer-VMs. However, you can also access them by: using a jump host (RDP) reachable via the internet. using a jump host reachable via Azure Bastion.

To configure a temp external IP:

1. In Azure, select the NIC for the FortiAnalyzer-VM.
2. Go to IP configurations.

   

3. Click the row for ipconfig1.

   

4. For the Public IP address, select Associate.
5. Below the Public IP address dropdown, click Create new.
6. Enter the following information:

   • Name = FAZHA001_pup

   • SKU = Basics

   • Assignment = Dynamic

7. Click OK.

   

8. Click Save.
9. Confirm the configuration is successfully applied in the row for ipconfig1.

   

10. Repeat the above steps for the second FortiAnalyzer-VM.
