Log types and sub-types
FortiADC log messages fall into four major types or categories, each of which has a number of sub-types or sub-categories.
Major log types
The table below lists the four major log types and their functions.

| Event Log |
Records system or administrative events, such as downloading a backup copy of the configuration or daemon activities |
| Traffic Log |
Records network traffic information, such as HTTP or HTTPS requests and responses, etc. |
| Security Log |
Records attack or intrusion attempts. |
| Script Log |
Records the use of server load-balance scripts. |
Log Sub-types
The table below lists the sub-types of each major log type.
