Deploying FortiWeb-VM on Open Xen

Deploying FortiWeb-VM on Open Xen

FortiWeb-VM is deployed as a fully virtualized domU virtual machine.

To deploy FortiWeb-VM on an open source Xen hypervisor/XAPI cloud, you can use either the dom0 virtual machine’s:

  • command line or
  • desktop environment, such as GNOME or KDE

Once FortiWeb-VM is deployed, however, either your Xen server itself or your management computer must have a desktop environment. (sudo xm console <domain_int> using an alias to /dev/pty does not succeed. Instead, VNC is required to connect to FortiWeb-VM’s virtual local console in Configuring access to FortiWeb’s web UI & CLI. )
