Create or edit a profile
To create or edit a profile:

In System > Profiles:
- Click Create to create a new profile.
- Select a profile and click Edit to edit the profile.
When editing a profile, the fields are the same as those that appear when creating a profile, except that Profile Type cannot be changed.
- Enter or update the following information:

Enter a unique name for the profile.

Provider or Customer. Customer is synonymous with "organization".

Select Normal or Simple. Simple mode provides a simplified interface for the following components:
WiFi SSID configuration
Access Permissions

Select None, Read, Read/Write, or Custom permissions for this profile. Not all components offer custom permissions. If Custom is selected, sub-component permissions display.
For customer profiles:
Filter the information presented in Insights > Logs and Insights > Monitor by policy ID.
You may specify per-widget access permissions for the widgets that appear in Insights > Dashboard and Insights > Monitor.
You may limit access to policies and firewall objects through filters. See Using policy and object filters.
Hide the Install button for read-only profiles. See Setting visibility of the install button.
You may specify granular permissions for Switch and WiFi. See Setting switch and WiFi permissions.
You may specify granular permissions for SD-WAN monitoring and configuration. See Configuring granular SD-WAN permissions.
You may specify a name-based filter for reports. See Configuring a name-based report filter.
- Click Save.
