FortiCASB 23.1.0 Release Highlights

  • Data Protection Discovery has expanded and now supports Salesforce, Office 365, Box, Dropbox, Google Workspace, Egnyte, Github, and Webex cloud applications
  • A new consolidated Data Protection Discovery page – Discovery is removed from each of the cloud application dashboards and consolidated into one redesigned Discovery page under “Overview > Data Protection”. The new Discovery page extracts meaningful security insights featuring All Files Overview, Sensitive Files Exposure, and External Collaboration security analysis.
    • All Files Overview highlights the top-10 file sharing users across all monitored cloud applications.
    • Sensitive Files Exposure lists the top-10 files being accessed across all monitored cloud applications.
    • External Collaboration outlines the top-10 domains the cloud application files are shared with.
  • Normalized Shared Types – FortiCASB now utilizes a new standardized, “file access type” designed to normalize and group file access permissions across different cloud applications. Normalized Share Types are utilized in both Discovery and Files pages.
  • Data Protection File information dashboard – under “Overview > Data Protection” all files across all monitored cloud applications are consolidated into one page to provide central visibility related to file-sharing activity across all supported SaaS applications.
    • All cloud applications are supported except SAP IAS and Zoom.
    • Besides the inherited file type and data analysis, file distribution by cloud applications has been added to the Files page.
    • Documents of each cloud application are retained and now called Files.
  • Enhanced Confluence support – By utilizing a Webhook event driven design Confluence SaaS Security monitoring has expanded and added new features: Files, Users, Threat Protection, and Compliance Policies.
  • Egnyte, SAP IAS, and ServiceNow - By utilizing a Restful API support, these apps have been expanded and added new features: Files (Egnyte only), Users, Threat Protection, and Compliance Policies
