Verifying BGP routing on a spoke

You can confirm BGP routing on the spoke FortGates from the spoke FortiGate CLI and GUI. For more information on BGP routing, see BGP in the FortiOS Administration Guide.

To verify BGP routing on a spoke:
  1. In the CLI on a spoke FortiGate:

    1. Check the BGP peering status:

      # get router info bgp summary
    2. Check the BGP advertised routes:

      # get router info bgp neighbors 10.200.0.1 advertised-routes
      
    3. Check the BGP learned routes:

      # get router info bgp neighbors 10.200.0.1 received-routes
      
  2. In the GUI, go to Dashboard > Network and click the Routing widget to expand it.

  3. In the dropdown, select BGP Neighbors.

  4. In the dropdown, select BGP Paths.
