Step 2: Data Collection

  1. Download FNAC_XX0C-v7-buildxxxx-FORTINET.usb.zip from Fortinet Service & Support under path /FortiNAC-F/v7.00/7.4/7.4.0:

  2. Extract FNAC_XX0C-v7-buildxxxx-FORTINET.usb.zip, there will be two files:

    BundleCentOSMigration

    FNAC_XX0C-v7-buildxxxx-FORTINET.usb

  3. Copy bundleCentOSMigration to the server:

    scp bundleCentOSMigration root@<management IP address of server>:/bsc/campusMgr/bin/

  4. Log in to the CentOS server appliance CLI as root.

  5. In CentOS CLI, run the tool to collect the configuration and the database by typing:

    bundleCentOSMigration

    The processed file is placed at the /root directory with the naming convention centos-backup-_ ____.zip

    For example:

    > bundleCentOSMigration

    Bundling migration archive

    adding: bsc/campusMgr/bin/.cm_config (deflated 61%)

    <…>

    Archive is named centos-backup-2024_02_09_16_06_27.zip

  6. Save the .zip file to a safe place.
