Device Model Configuration

Device Model Configuration

Logical Networks: For more information, see Logical Networks in the Administration Guide.

Multiple VDOM/Split-Task VDOMs: Must be configured for each VDOM to be managed.

  1. With the FortiGate’s model selected in the left panel, click the Virtualized Devices tab in the right panel.

  2. Click the desired VDOM, right click and select Model Configuration.

  3. Configure RADIUS Mode and settings (if applicable). Click the for details on each setting.

  4. Under Logical Network Configuration, select the VLANs from the drill-down in the Network Access column for each Logical Network as they apply:

    • Isolation VLANs (Registration, Remediation, Dead End, Authentication)

    • Production VLANs

    • Default VLAN (the “catch all” VLAN for registered endpoints)

      To modify an existing Logical Network in the table, select and click Edit.

      Important: The list of VLANs displayed in the drill-down contains all VLANs configured for all “Virtualized Devices" (VDOMs). Therefore, only select a VLAN that is appropriate to the selected VDOM and switch.

  5. Click OK to save.

  6. If configuring RADIUS on the FortiSwitch, select the FortiSwitch and click the Model Configuration tab.

  7. Select the appropriate Server Configuration from the drill-down.

  8. Enter the Shared Secret and select OK.
