The Patches plugin allows you to monitor the number of outstanding updates needed to be installed on your server.

To add a Patches resource type to your server first see Add FortiMonitor Agent checks if you have not already.

Control Panel Configuration

First select open the Windows metrics section, and choose "patches"

There are 4 possible metrics to monitor.

The Critical metric will return the number of critical patches. The Optional metric will return the number of optional patches yet to be installed, the Important metric returns the number of important patches yet to be installed, and the Last Update Days metric returns the number of days since the last update.

The specific number that this resource returns is defined by the above options, please take this into account if you choose to change your “Alert Threshold” for this resource.
