What's new in this release

FortiOS 7.0.1 wireless includes the following changes:

  • Supports overriding the FortiAP Indoor/Outdoor designation from FortiAP Profiles.
  • Supports obtaining temperature values from FortiAP models that have built-in temperature sensors.

  • Supports backward compatible Crypto Ciphers to bypass Strong-Crypto FortiOS change for legacy FortiAP models.

  • Supports disabling FortiAP console login.

  • For SSIDs in local standalone NAT mode, supports defining up to three DNS servers to assign wireless endpoints through DHCP.

  • Supports client authentication with captive portal when configuring a radio in Service Assurance Management (SAM) mode.

  • Supports SES-Imagotag Electronic Shelf Label integration.

  • Supports CAPWAP hitless failover in FortiGate HA cluster (active-passive mode only).
