Configuring FortiTester to Test against FortiGate
The following depicts the network topology for this sample deployment between FortiTester and FortiGate.
- Follow steps in Deploying FortiTester-VM on GCP Compute Engine to create an instance for FortiGate.
FortiTester subnetwork mgmt and FortiGate subnetwork mgmt share the same VPC; their subnetwork port1 share the same VPC, and so does their subnetwork port2. The network of FortiTester is as follows:
The network of FortiGate is as follows: - Set the route IP of the traffic network fts-traffic-port1, go to the VPC network details page.
- On Routes tab, click Add route. For Next hop, enter FortiGate's IP for Next hop IP address.
- Set the route IP of the traffic network fts-traffic-port2, go to the VPC network details page.
- On Routes tab, click Add route. For Next hop, enter FortiGate's IP for Next hop IP address.
- Configure peer network when creating the case.
When adding a case in Performance Testing, click Add for a specific case category, for example, HTTP CPS.
Click Add. For DUT Working Mode, check Network Address Translation (NAT).
For port1, enter the FortiGate's interface IP, for example 10.2.5.0/24 in Step 2 and Step 3 above.
For port2, enter the FortiGate's interface IP, for example 10.2.4.0/24 in Step 4 and Step 5 above.
