FortiSandbox VM on Azure

Optional: Using a custom VM on Azure

Up to v3.1.2, FortiSandbox only supports Windows7_64 and Windows7 custom VM images.

To set up a FortiSandbox engine for Azure:
  1. Download FortiSandbox Tools from https://fsavm.fortinet.net/vmtools/FortiSandboxAWSTools.zip and put it in the custom VM (such as C:\). Then add FSALauncher.exe or FSALauncher_x64.exe to an auto-startup program (using the Startup folder or Task Scheduler).
To use custom VM on Azure:
  1. From the Azure portal web page, upload the the VM image's VHD file to the storage account.
  2. Install the Azure local customized VMs with the CLI command: azure-vm-customized.
  3. On the FSA Azure web GUI, go to Virtual Machine > VM Images and update the Clone number and apply it.

  4. In a new FSA CLI window, use the diagnose-debug vminit command to check the VM clone initialization.
  5. The FSA Azure Dashboard now shows a green indicator for Windows VM.

Optional: Using a custom VM on Azure
