Overview
FortiWeb supports active-passive HA and high volume active-active HA on OCI:
- high volume active-active HA: Configure FortiWeb-VM instances in a HA group synchronizing configuration and sessions. Both instances in the HA group process traffic. We use load balancer to distributes traffic to all the HA members. If an instance is down, it will be ignored by the load balancer for traffic distribution. If the failed instances is the master node, one of the slave instances immediately takes its role to become the new master. Up to 8 instances can be supported in this HA mode.
- Active-Passive HA: Use Load Balancer to achieve active-passive HA. Two FortiWeb-VMs can be deployed and registered within a Load Balancer, so that the traffic can be failed over to the standby node when the primary node is down.
Active-active-standard mode is no longer supported. After upgrading to 6.3.6 and higher versions, FortiWeb-VMs with this mode will automatically switch to active-active-high-volume mode. |
