Configuring external ELB

If you selected an existing load balancer in the CFT, it's required to add two Listeners to this load balancer, so that the HTTP and HTTPS traffic can be routed to the HTTP and HTTPS target autoscaling group.

  1. Find the load balancer you selected. Select Listeners tab. Click Add Listener.
  2. Add two listeners and specify the port values for HTTP and HTTPS services respectively. They should be consistent with the values you specified for HTTP Web service traffic port and HTTPS Web service traffic port in the CFT.
For Default action(s), select Forward to the corresponding HTTP Web service traffic port and HTTPS Web service traffic port you created in the CFT.

With these configurations, the HTTP and HTTPS traffic to the load balancer will be distributed among the FortiWeb-VMs in the autoscaling group.
