Sign the certificate request with FortiAuthenticator

  1. Copy the CSR file, for example, WIN-URHHR09LI24.req, to a location accessible from the FortiAuthenticator web-based manager.

  2. Go to Certificate Management > Users > Certificates.

  3. Select Import and locate the CSR file.

    Ensure the certificate authority is the root certificate authority you created for this deployment.

  4. Select OK.

  5. Download the signed CER from FortiAuthenticator and install it on the domain controller server using the following command:

    Certreq –accept CN_vmlabvmebco.cer

  6. Use the WIN-URHHR09LI24-vfy.bat file to verify that it is installed correctly using the command:

    certutil -viewstore "CN= WIN-URHHR09LI24,OU=Domain Controllers,DC=vm-lab,DC=vm-eb,DC=com?usercertificate"
