Free time-based trial licenses

To help customers make informed purchasing decisions, we offer 30-day free trial licenses to all FortiCloud customers to test-drive our new time-based FortiToken Cloud MFA service. For FortiCloud premium customers, the trial license can support up to of 25 FTC end-users; for FortiCloud non-premium customers, the limit is 5 FTC end-users per trial license.

Please note that free trial licenses do NOT include SMS messages.

Enable FTC trial service on FTC GUI

Log on to the FortiToken GUI (https://ftc.fortinet.com) with your FortiCloud username and password with which the auth device is registered. The FTC trial service is enabled automatically after you have logged in for the first time. This method applies to all FTC-supported auth devices.

Enable FTC trial service on FortiGate

In addition to the enabling the trial service from the FTC GUI, you can also enable it from FGT using the following CLI command:

execute fortitoken-cloud trial

The FTC trial service is enabled after this CLI is executed successfully.

Caution

This CLI command is not supported in FOS versions 7.0.2 and 7.0.3.

Once the FTC trial service has been enabled, you can add users on FortiGate for FTC MFA service.

If, after the free trial, you decide to continue using FTC. You can purchase a license, and register it to your account. For more information, see Register your FTC subscription.
