Adding a FortiSOAR Mobile Application

Prerequisites to adding a FortiSOAR Mobile Application

  • You must have FortiExplorer configured on your android phone.

  • You must have configured and published the "Mobile Settings" widget. For more information see the Configuring the FortiSOAR Mobile Application chapter. If you do not configure or publish the "Mobile Settings" widget, you will get a system-view template error once you open the FortiSOAR mobile app.

  • To use the FortiSOAR Mobile Application, users must have a minimum of Read access to the 'Widgets' module, apart from the other permissions required to use the FortiSOAR application.

Adding a FortiSOAR Mobile Application to the fabric

  1. Navigate to the Home page of your android phone, which has FortiExplorer installed.

  2. On the Add to Fabric page, click Add a FortiSOAR App:

  3. On the Edit Fabric page, enter the following details and then click the check mark to save your changes:

    1. In the Host field, enter the host details of your FortiSOAR application.

    2. in the Port field, enter the port number using which you will connect to your FortiSOAR application.

    3. In the Username field, enter the username used to connect to your FortiSOAR application.

    4. In the Password field, enter the password used to connect to your FortiSOAR application.

  4. (Optional)If you have enabled 2FA, then enter the 2FA code sent to your device and click OK:

If you have not configured and published the "Mobile Settings" widget, then you will get a SVT error, when you login to the FortiSOAR mobile app.

If you have configured and published the "Mobile Settings" widget, then the FortiSOAR mobile app will open on the landing page, i.e., on the module that you have set as 'default', the 'Alerts' module in our example. If there are no records in the default module or if you do not have access to the records in the default module, then you will see the following:
