Deploying FortiSandbox Cloud

This section explains how to deploy and manage FortiSandbox Cloud with FortiGate and FortiMail devices.

FortiSandbox Cloud supports TLS v1.2. Ensure your browser and firewall setting permits TLS v1.2.

Note

FortiSandbox Cloud can only communicate with FortiGate and FortiMail.

To set up the VM instance:
  1. In the FortiCloud portal, check that you have a product entitlement for FortiSandbox Cloud.
  2. Go to Asset > Manage/View Products > FortiSandbox Cloud and note your User ID number.

  3. In the FortiCloud portal, check the Product Entitlements for FortiSandbox Cloud.

  4. In FortiCloud, click the FortiCloud icon in the upper-right corner to access the FortiSandbox Cloud instance.

  5. On the new page, select the account which includes the FortiSandbox entitlement to open the menu drawer, then click Provision Instance.

The User ID on FortiSandbox portal represents the dedicated instance.

FortiSandbox Cloud instance is provisioned in a few minutes.

If an entitlement is not set up, the provisioning reports an error.

  6. When provisioned and the dedicated VM instance displays the resources and firmware information, click Enter to access the web GUI.

    Note

You can directly access FortiSandbox Cloud at http://fortisandboxcloud.com using your Fortinet support login credentials.

  7. On the FortiSandbox VM instance, Go to the Dashboard and check if a serial number has been assigned and if licenses are valid.

In some cases where the internal sync does not happen in time, then you might find those as invalid. FortiSandbox is designed to automatically resolve that. When the licenses are properly loaded, you must reboot the unit.
