Guided Install

  1. Use the DHCP address or (If Required) configIP
  2. Browse to

    https://<hostname>:8443/

    or

    http://<hostname>:8080/

  3. Login using the Default FortiNAC Admin GUI Credentials
    1. User: root
    2. Password: YAMS
  4. Read the End User License Agreement. Either enable I Accept The Terms and Conditions Above and click Next or select Cancel to return to the login page.

  5. Enter your license key. You can import your license key by clicking Browse and selecting your license key file. Click Next.

    1. If you do not have a valid license key, follow the instructions in the Virtual Machine Installation Guide with the following data:
      1. Authorization Code: Provided when purchasing the system
      2. UUID
      3. MAC
  6. Enter a new User ID and Password to use when logging in. Click Next.

    Enter a new User ID and Password to use when logging in. Click Next. For password requirement details see Passwords.

    Note: The CLI account is not updated with a change until the Config Wizard is completed and a Config Wizard reboot is executed.

  7. Select the installation method you would like to use. Guided Installation will create a series of Tasks that will help walk through the set up of the product to gain visibility as quickly as possible. Click Next.

  8. Select the tasks to ensure them during installation. Click OK.

  9. The Config Wizard view will display. Configure the settings as needed. See Layer 3 (page 18) of Configuration Wizard Guide for more details on each section.
    1. Clicking Apply in Summary will restart the appliance and display the login screen.
  10. Log in with your new credentials and complete Pending Tasks found in the Dashboard as part of the Guided Installation.
Note
  • To modify/update License Key after initial configuration, navigate to System > Settings > System Management > License Management.
  • To modify CLI Account passwords after initial configuration, navigate to Users & Hosts > Administrators > CLI Passwords.

Guided Install
