What's new in FortiNAC 8.5

The following list contains new and expanded features added in FortiNAC 8.5.

Logical networks

Logical networks are representations of network configurations that separate access policies from the physical configurations. You use logical networks to separate network access policies from device-specific network configuration values.

For more information, see Logical networks.

If your FortiNAC has been upgraded from an earlier firmware version, an additional option called Direct Configuration is available. You can use this option to configure network access configurations without using logical networks. Direct Configuration isn't available if you have a new FortiNAC installation or if you didn't have any network access configurations on your FortiNAC prior to upgrading.

Integration

FortiNAC supports the following integration:

Deploying FortiNAC Cloud to AWS and Azure

FortiNAC Cloud can be deployed to Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure.

Device profiling for WinRM and WMI

The FortiNAC device profiler provides enhanced profiling capabilities used to ensure the trust of Windows Remote Management (WinRM) and Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) devices. For more information, see Device Profiler Configuration.
