NTP (Windows)

The NTP plugin allows you to monitor the disagreement between your machine’s time, and the NTP time.

Agent Configuration

If you would like to change the NTP server you are using for reference, then you can change the NTP section to your Agent config file (C:/Program Files/FortiMonitorAgent/Agent.config).

Just replace the host name and port with the appropriate values for the NTP server that you are using.

<ntp>

<add key="ntp_host" value="pool.ntp.org" />

<add key="ntp_port" value="123" />

</ntp>

Control Panel Configuration

To add an NTP agent resource to your server first see Add FortiMonitor Agent checks if you have not already.

Select NTP from the Windows plugin.

The “Metric” drop-down will only have one option; “Difference between machine and NTP time.” This resource returns the number of seconds, please take this into account if you choose to change your “Alerts Thresholds.”
