PostgreSQL network check

Monitor your Postgres database server from multiple dimensions. Start with internal health/performance metrics using the Agent and then ensure Postgres client connections are succeeding using a network check from an OnSight vCollector overview or public monitoring probe.

Control Panel Configuration

To add the network check, select PostgreSQL from the monitoring catalog.

Select the port check option:

  • PostgreSQL Port

This check will monitor port 5432 (or whichever port you set to your PostgreSQL service to) to let you know if your PostgreSQL service is responsive.
