Mobile app

The FortiMonitor mobile app allows your team to easily access and manage incidents while on mobile. The app is a mobile version of the Incident Hub, ensuring that your team has access to active incidents while on-call. All of the actions that you can perform from the Incident Hub are also available in the mobile app, providing an easy way to deal with incidents and alerts.

  • View active incidents in your infrastructure.

  • Acknowledge incidents

  • Schedule maintenance

  • Delay, cancel, or escalate alerts.

Install and configure the mobile app

Install from the Apple App Store and Google Play

The FortiMonitor app is available from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

Configure push notifications

You must enable Push notifications, both on mobile and the FortiMonitor control panel, in order to receive alerts and notifications from the FortiMonitor mobile app.

To enable push notifications, perform see the following OS-specific instructions:

Control panel configuration

After configuring push notifications, you need to configure an Alert Timeline to use with the mobile app.

  1. Open a web browser and log in to FortiMonitor.

  2. From the navigation menu, select Incidents > Alert Timelines.

  3. Select the Alert Timeline that you want to edit.

  4. Create a new event by clicking New Event.

  5. Configure the trigger time. This will determine the amount of time before a notification is sent to the mobile app when an incident is confirmed.

  6. Under Contacts, pick any combination of users, groups, on-call schedules, and integrations to add to the event. Because you can define multiple events for escalations, you can pick the appropriate level of noise for each event. For individual users, you can pick between email, SMS, phone call, or mobile push notification.
    Note: In order to receive push notifications, you need to select a mobile number.

  7. Click Create Action.

View Active Incidents

After logging in, the app will display all of the active incidents in your infrastructure. The list of active incidents can be refined by severity by tapping on the Active Incidents, Critical Incidents, or Warning Incidents tabs.

View incident details

You can view an incident’s details by clicking on the incident. The incident’s details will be displayed. This will include relevant information on the incident such as:

  • Succeeding alerts, if any

  • Incident start time and duration

  • Incident lead assigned to the incident

  • Incident ID

  • The metric affected by the incident, including relevant metrics pertaining to the incident

  • CounterMeasure details

From the page, there are also several actions that you can perform the following:
