2020.68 or newer OnSight versions

If your OnSight version is 2020.68 or later, perform the following steps to upgrade it:

  1. Go to OnSight's Instance Details page.

  2. Click the down arrow.

  3. Select Upgrade OnSight.

The installer then checks to confirm that there is enough space available, there is no backlog of results waiting to sync, and then initiates the upgrade. The process typically takes between 5 and 10 minutes.

You can also upgrade the OnSight manually by performing the following steps:

  1. SSH into your OnSight vCollector.

  2. Switch to the root user.

  3. Run the following command:

onsight upgrade

During the upgrade, metric data will also be synced. If you encounter any issues, use the --force parameter to bypass the syncing. For example:

onsight upgrade --force

Note: Using the --force option may result to data loss. Perform sanity checks before running the command..
