Default templates
FortiMonitor’s default templates can facilitate provisioning of predefined metrics to the different types of infrastructure in your environment. This allows you to easily apply the same set of metrics to instances that you want to monitor in the same way.
For example, when the default template Linux - Apache is applied to all of your Linux-based instances that host Apache webservers, the predefined metrics from the templates will be provisioned to these instances.
Although the default templates contain the most common metrics for a particular type, they do not include all of the supported metrics to prevent alerts from metrics you do not need.
Except for disk, memory, and CPU metrics, no other metric will have preconfigured alert thresholds. To configure alert thresholds, see Incident alert thresholds.
From the Control Panel, you can see a list of the default templates by performing the following steps:

Click Instances to expand the Instances drawer.

Expand the Default Monitoring Templates group.
