Network Interfaces

The Network Interfaces widget provides a table displaying the status and bandwidth utilization of network device interfaces. The widget can also be configured to show or hide other data points as shown in the table below.

Example

In this example, the Network Interfaces widget is configured to show the status of all of the network interfaces in the Core Networking group. By default, only the Server, Name, and Admin Status data points are shown. There are a few more data points that you can toggle on or off while setting up the widget. This and other configuration options are discussed in the following section.

Configuration

When creating or editing a widget, a drawer that shows the widget's configuration options slides out from the right. Each configurable option is described in the following table.

Field

Description

Widget name

Name of the widget as it appears on the dashboard.

Filter Ports

Enable this option if you want to filter ports by name.

Instances

Filter instances by:

  • No filter

  • Tags

    • Match all tags – Instances that match ALL of the tags entered will be returned.

    • Match any tag – Instances that match at least one of the tags entered will be returned.

  • Group

  • Name

Data Points

The following data points are available. You can toggle each data point on or off by clicking the eye icon. Click the up or down arrow icons if you want to reorder them.

  • Server (enabled by default)

  • Name (enabled by default)

  • Admin Status (enabled by default)

  • Operational Status

  • Discards In

  • Discards Out

  • Errors In

  • Errors Out

  • Bandwidth In

  • Bandwidth Out

  • Bandwidth In Util

  • Bandwidth Out Util

  • NetFlow

Dashboard Scoping Adherence

Enabling this option will allow you to bypass Dashboard-level scoping.
