Processes (Linux)

The Processes plugin is an updated version of our “Process Name” plugin. You need to have the latest version of the Agent to use this plugin.

Control Panel Configuration

First, select Linux from the monitoring catalog and scroll to Processes.

There are a number of metrics to choose to monitor.

You can monitor multiple Processes agent resources on one server if you would like, so you can keep track of all of your essential processes in this manner.

If you would like to inspect the process name plugin in more detail you can find the python script for it in /usr/lib/fm-agent/plugins/process.py.
