Amazon RDS Cluster

The Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS) Cluster integration allows you to monitor Amazon RDS Cluster through FortiMonitor.

To add the Amazon RDS Cluster service to your FortiMonitor account:

  1. Follow the instructions provided in Connecting FortiMonitor and CloudWatch.

  2. Under Services, select RDS Cluster.

Metrics

The following table describes the metrics supported by FortiMonitor for RDS Cluster.

The number of CPU credits consumed during the specified period.

CPU Credit Balance

The number of CPU credits that an instance has accumulated.

The amount of latency in milliseconds for update queries.

DatabaseConnections

The number of connections to a database instance.

Network Throughput

Bytes

The amount of network throughput both received from and transmitted to clients by each instance in database cluster, in bytes per second.

Update Throughput

The average number of update queries per second.

Delete Throughput

The average number of delete queries per second.

Blocked Transactions

Count

The average number of transactions in the database that are blocked per second.

Login Failures

The average number of failed login attempts per second.

The amount of latency for commit operations, in milliseconds.

Serverless Database Capacity

Snapshot Storage Used

GiB

The total amount of backup storage consumed by all snapshots for a database cluster outside its backup retention window.

Volume Read IOPs

Count

The number of billed read I/O operations from a cluster volume reported at 5-minute intervals.

Volume Write IOPs

Count

The number of write disk I/O operations to the cluster volume reported at 5-minute intervals.

Aurora Binlog Replica Lag

Seconds

The amount of time a replica database cluster running on Aurora with MySQL compatibility lags behind the source database cluster.

Buffer Cache Hit Ratio

Percent

The percentage of requests that are served by the buffer cache.

Result Set Cache Hit Ratio

Percent

The percentage of requests that are served by the Resultset cache.

Bin Log Disk Usage

Bytes

The amount of disk space occupied by binary logs on the master, in bytes.

TotalBackupStorageBilled

GiB

The total amount of backup storage in GiB for which you are billed for a given Aurora database cluster.

BackupRetentionPeriodStorageUsed

GiB

The total amount of backup storage in GiB used to support the point-in-time restore feature within the Aurora database cluster's backup retention window.
