FortiSwitch Profiles for per-device management

FortiSwitch Profiles for per-device management

When per-device management is enabled, you can configure changes on each managed switch. The following steps provide an overview of using per-device FortiSwitch management:

  1. Enable per-device management. See Enabling per-device management.
  2. Configure policies and profiles for managed switches.

    You can configure VLANs, NAC policies, security policies, LLDP profiles, and QoS policies, and the changes are saved to the FortiGate database. See FortiSwitch profiles.

  3. Configure ports for each managed switch.

    When you configure ports, you can assign the profiles and policies that you created. See Configuring a port on a single FortiSwitch.

  4. Install changes to managed switches. See Installing changes to managed switches.
