This section lists some other changes delivered in this release of FortiGuest.

• Do not use the Start End usage profile for any accounts that are created on the fly, such as, accounts created against a backend authentication like AD/LDAP/RADIUS/AUTH/SAML and accounts created via captive portal like Self Service/CC BILLING/PMS BILLING/CLICK THROUGH/AUTO LOGIN. Use the Start End only for user accounts created by admin/sponsor.

• WPA 3 Personal authentication is supported only on Ubuntu 22.04 and 20.04, Android12, Windows 11, and MacOS 13.2.1.

• Commands - The following modifications are delivered in the CLI.

  • The upgrade command is now modified to:

    • execute restore image ftp <image file name> <ftp server IP> <username> <password>

    • execute restore image tftp <image file name> <tftp serve ip>

• Upgrade/Installation Files - The following file names have changed.

  • The upgrade filename is changed from fortiguest_VM64-vx.x.x-buildxxxx-FORTINET.tar.fwout to FortiGuest_VM64_<ESXi/KVM/HV>-vx.x.x-buildxxxx-FORTINET.out.

  • The file name for deployment on VMware ESXi is changed from FortiGuest_VM64_ESXi-vx.x.x-buildxxxx.ova to FortiGuest_VM64_ESXi-vx.x.x-buildxxxx.ovf.zip.

  • The file name for deployment on Linux KVM is changed from fortiguest_VM64_KVM-vx.x.x-buildxxxx-FORTINET.img.zip to FORTIGUEST_VM64_KVM-vx.x.x-buildxxxx.kvm.zip.

  • The file name for deployment on Windows Hyper-V is changed from fortiguest_VM64_HV-vx.x.x-buildxxxx-FORTINET.vhd.zip to FortiGuest_VM64_HV-vx.x.x-buildxxxx.hyperv.zip.
