Blueprint 2: MSSP premises / public cloud, multitenant with FortiPortal

Similar to Blueprint 1: MSSP premises / public cloud, multitenant with direct customer access, but Customers have no direct access to FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer. A dedicated product is used instead—FortiPortal.

FortiPortal is a Customer portal designed for MSSP deployments. It communicates to both FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer (using JSON API) and exposes the necessary information to the Customers. The look-and-feel can be customized by the MSSP, to make the Managed Service unique.

The Customer can use FortiPortal both for monitoring and for modifying the configuration (for example, to edit Firewall Policies, if this is allowed by the Managed Service).
