Signature packages for IoT device detection

The IoT detection signature package detects and extracts the metadata of IoT devices. The package is updated when the FortiGate has a valid IoT Detection Service license.

Although the signature package is available in FortiOS 7.2.0, you cannot apply the signature to network traffic. Support for this functionality is coming in future FortiOS releases.

To view the database version of the signature packages in the GUI:

1. Go to System > FortiGuard.
2. Expand License Information > IoT Detection Service to view the IoT Detection Definitions version.

The IoT-Detect field displays the database version for the IOT detection signature packages.
