replace device

Replace a managed FortiAP or a managed FortiSwitch with a new one. Using this execute command makes it easier to replace a failed FortiAP or FortiSwitch device with a new one without having to re-configure the new device. The configuration of the existing device is just transferred to the new one.

Syntax

execute replace-device fortiap  FortiAP.
        {fortiap-id}   Old FortiAP serial number.
            {fortiap-id}   New FortiAP serial number.


execute replace-device fortiswitch  FortiSwitch.
        {fortiswitch-id}   Existing FortiSwitch serial number.
            {fortiswitch-id}   New FortiSwitch serial number.

replace device
